Scott has dedicated a significant portion of his practice to business transactions and served as the lead transactional attorney for a local law firm for over 20 years. His extensive experience encompasses representation and counsel for companies of all sizes, corporate executives, and individual entrepreneurs across diverse industries, including vehicle leasing, education, trucking, logistics, foundation repair, extended consumer warranty, healthcare, real estate, finance, hospitality, and manufacturing. Notably, he has been the lead transactional attorney for the nation’s largest vehicle leasing company and a prominent independent school district in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, which ranks as the 13th largest school district in Texas.

In addition to managing complex business transactions, Scott brings valuable experience in business litigation, enabling him to foresee potential complications and the necessity for clear, accurate contracts that minimize the risk of future disputes.

Scott has acted as lead counsel on numerous multi-million dollar transactions and has been an integral part of litigation teams that achieved favorable outcomes in various business disputes, securing verdicts, judgments, or settlements exceeding one million dollars, including one of the top 100 verdicts in Texas in 2019.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Management) from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.

Scott is a Sustaining Life Fellow of both the Texas Bar Foundation and the Tarrant County Bar Foundation.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Scott resides in the city with his wife, Lori, a licensed landscape architect and Planning Manager for the City of Fort Worth, their son, Wilson, a sophomore at Fort Worth Paschal High School, and their two Portuguese water dogs, Micah and Atticus.
