Managing Partner
Corey Kellam is the Managing Partner at Sullivan Law Offices, where he oversees operations and leads the firm’s litigation and transactional teams. Corey joined Sullivan Law Offices in 2023 after realizing a shared vision with Founder Christopher Sullivan to build a full-service business law firm focused on wise counsel, vigorous client representation, superior customer service, attorney and staff development through training and retention, and community engagement. Corey is a collaborative problem-solver and a critical thinker who brings the same focus, teamwork, endurance, and tenacity, which defined his years as a collegiate track and cross-country athlete, to his leadership role at Sullivan Law Offices. This mentality allows Corey to maintain composure under pressure, guide clients and legal staff through complex legal issues, and remain focused on client goals and firm performance.
While in college at The University of Texas at Tyler, Corey earned a coveted spot in the University of Texas System’s Congressman Bill Archer Fellowship. He studied as an Archer Fellow in Washington, D.C. and interned on Capitol Hill, all while maintaining his rigorous cross-country training program. His experience solidified his decision to pursue law school, ultimately attending Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M School of Law), where he graduated with honors and passed the Texas Bar Exam in 2012.
During and shortly after law school, Corey worked at a small law firm in the DFW area, where he learned the practical side of legal practice and gained hands-on experience across a wide range of areas, including real estate, family law, estate planning, business law, contracts, civil litigation, and personal injury. In 2013, Corey made a pivot from traditional law practice into a corporate setting with BNSF Railway in Fort Worth, where he continued his career as part of their competitive Management Trainee program while working in BNSF’s Labor Relations department. As a Labor Relations Officer, Corey supported a range of business and operational units, strengthened his advocacy, negotiation, and contract‑drafting skills, progressed into a leadership role, and took part in BNSF’s formal mentorship program as well as the TCU Executive Leadership Program.
In 2019, Corey returned to the traditional practice of law and took an opportunity in Tyler, Texas, joining Flowers Davis, PLLC, a prominent East Texas law firm. While at Flowers Davis, Corey represented clients in a variety of transactional and litigation matters in the areas of real estate, business, contracts, estate planning, and probate. It was at Flowers Davis where Corey found a niche in representing clients and businesses focused on real estate transactions. Consistent with Corey’s work ethic and growth mindset, it was not long before he assumed management and leadership responsibility, including managing the firm’s transactional docket, hiring and developing new attorneys within the transactional group, presenting and teaching courses for realtors and title companies, and serving as the primary liaison between the firm’s transactional and litigation groups.
After his time at Flowers Davis, PLLC, Corey served as Senior Corporate Counsel for AcreTrader, Inc., an agri-tech start-up based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. where he supported the company’s legal interests related to corporate structure, real estate, contracts, IP license agreements, and private placements. Corey remained with AcreTrader until 2023, when he joined Sullivan Law Offices to work alongside Founder Christopher Sullivan.
Corey credits the steady yet diverse progression of his career, and the wise and talented leaders, attorneys, and support staff he’s worked with along the way for preparing him to serve as Managing Partner at Sullivan Law Offices. Corey’s role at Sullivan Law Offices is to ensure the Firm delivers enduring value and results for its clients through effective written and oral advocacy, creative problem solving, efficient internal and external collaboration, clear and timely communication, intentional development and retention of attorneys and support staff, all while cultivating a fun and engaging work environment.
Corey spends much of his time outside of work with his wife and small army of 6 children and their Berniedoodle. He enjoys running and fitness, road trips, and cheering on his kids in all their activities. His favorite TV show is The Office, a nod to his appreciation for teamwork, humor, and perseverance, but mainly humor.
